What is the problem?
In our current era, women find themselves grappling with holistic challenges and a quest for what they term as life "balance." We often find ourselves working excessively, expending more energy than we have to offer.
While much of this isn't our fault, it's a result of growing up in a culture that ingrains the idea of assuming responsibilities, persevering regardless of circumstances, and subscribing to the notion that we must "GRIND" relentlessly to achieve our desires. In this process, we've relinquished some aspects of our femininity, adopting a more masculine "do-it-all" mentality. As women fulfilling various roles—mothers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and more—we frequently prioritize everything and everyone else, gradually diminishing the significance of our own health and well-being.
Yet, as the saying goes, "an empty well cannot provide water," or “eventually, even a well will run dry.” Micha Green from The Washington Informer aptly asserts that it's time to move beyond the notion of "strong Black women" and instead, emphasize the significance of "healthy Black women."
